A Twitter bioA simple but often overlooked concept on Twitter is the bio. Your bio is one of the first things others will look at when deciding whether or not to follow you.

To change your bio, click on “settings” and then go to the section “One Line Bio”. There’s no need to write in complete sentences. You can use a series of short keywords or interests to show who you are.

Take a look at the two examples on the left.

Make sure you show up in the searches for the things you are interested in. Include them in your bio! Many won’t follow you if you don’t have a bio. You have 160 characters–so make good use of them all!
